b.Blunt – The best part of the year is the end of the year holiday festivities. To be specific, everyone loves Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving is meant to be a day to celebrate and give thanks to the harvest for the following years. This tradition goes all the way back to 1621. I think a lot of us tend to forget about the true meaning of the holiday because we are so focused on the food. That’s why everyone loves it.

I love food. I mean…who doesn’t?! There’s nothing like waking up to the smell of mama’s turkey baking in the oven. I can already see the juice dripping down as the turkey is sliced. It’s hard to argue the fact that marijuana makes you hungry. Every cannabis lover knows to be prepared for the munchies after a nice smoke session. As my father always tells me, “follow the six p’s (Proper Planning Prevents Piss Poor Performance)”. So, for all my fellow smokers and food lovers, I have a nice Thanksgiving high menu that you can follow this Thanksgiving.

THC Turkey Marinade

Turkey is an important item on each thanksgiving menu.  Traditionally, you would use a nice broth with a few other seasonings to marinate your turkey overnight. Let’s break traditional. I mean… a lot of things we do today are untraditional.

In order to get a proper THC marinade, you will need the following ingredients:

  • 1- 12 pound turkey
  • 3/4 oz. of marijuana
  • 12 tablespoons of butter (not margarine)
  • 1/2 bottle of injectable marinade

A cook knows that proper preparation is an important part of completing a meal. You will want to start by simmering the marijuana, butter, and marinade on low in a crock pot or a regular pot for three hours (check it frequently). Next, you want to strain the combination before you inject it into the turkey to ensure you’re not injecting the marijuana chunks. After that, inject the marinade throughout the turkey in equal amounts. Finally, put the bird in the oven to bake for the normal amount of time. Due to the marinade, the outside of the turkey will appear darker and the inside will be pink.

You can also do a BBQ THC marinade. To do so, you will need the following ingredients:

  • 1- 12 pound turkey
  • 3/4 oz. of marijuana
  • 12 tablespoons of butter (not margarine)
  • 1/2 bottle of injectable marinade
  • 1 1/4 cup of BBQ sauce

All the same preparations as the first recipe remain the same. The only difference is, in the first step you will also want to add the barbeque sauce to the marijuana, marinade, and butter combination in the crockpot.

Marijuana edibles are more potent than smoking is, so be sure you aren’t eating the entire turkey alone (at least not all at once)!
