Live the life of a canna-consumeress

Meet Milka Subotic, the creator and curator behind lifestyle and fashion site What Would Mary Say. Mary’s whimsical collection offers handcrafted crystal pipes, ladieswear and accessories for the canna-consumeress.

Milka, it’s so great to connect. Tell me more about your online boutique What Would Mary Say.

My name is Milka and I am based out of Toronto, Ontario. I speak to the greater masses; the visionaries, lovers, haters, dreamers, revolutionaries; the leaders of today in whichever shape or form.

Yes, I’m talking to you, cannabis community. I know who you are and it’s time to learn who I am. I’m not an extreme feminist. I’m not a preacher. And Mary knows fully well I’m not a saint! I am, however, someone who is passionate about the cannabis industry and what it can offer us all. We are here today and have miraculously joined this tribe in support of peace, love and cannabis education to reduce the stigma associated with this beautiful plant we all know and love.

What inspired you to start creating a community of canna-consumeress?

Sweet ol’ Mary and her generosity snuck back into my life right when I needed her most. I was able to relate to her and the things she stood for. From this moment I chose to live by choice, not by chance; to make changes, not excuses; to be motivated, not manipulated; to be useful, not used; to be mindful, not mindless. I chose to listen to my inner voice and not others opinions. Alas, What would Mary say was born. My passion for doing whatever it takes and not giving a fuck while embracing all things cannabis, fashion and lifestyle developed into a curated collection dedicated to Mary and her tribe.

What are Mary’s top three essentials for the Summer?

She loves the natural obsidian crystal White-Out Pipe, the Don’t Get Lippy Ashtray is an all-time favorite and the Elevated Rolling Trays. These are all great pieces for this summer and will elevate your living space.

If you could invite three people, (dead or alive), to a dinner party, who would you invite and why?

If I could invite three people to a dinner party, I would choose Martha Stewart, Barbra Streisand and my grandmother. A perfect mix of strong beautiful women that know good taste.
